all but for grace by sabriaya shipley

In honor of Gracy Lucille Tucker
There is matriarchy at our heels
It’s name must be grace
Multiplied by the love of generation’s giving
She lifts us steady
Rocks us into a new decade
Then, she steps into her heavenly place
There is a place called Grace
How lucky are we to have known it all our lives
To have listened to its stories
Let it baptize us into a holy progression
Grace
Given to those who are worthy
Strapped across our back because we were hers
She is Grace
That feeds children at an extended kitchen table
Raises Hands to the heavens in exalting praise
While the sugar rolls into her from the Love of a family
Barrels herself in the reunion of lineage.
Rest now in the promise of her glory
She was Grace
She was our Grace
We are so grateful that to us she was given

see you soon!
