kind ground, black butter
listen to the full recording of the radio show that inspired our book!
hello!
our new title kind ground, black butter has officially been pushed out to sea from our little port. if you’re unfamiliar with the book, it’s centred around a conversation lucy hodge-sellers and réiltín ní aodhagáin had on the topic of poetry and linguistic resistance in post-colonial ireland. the book contains transcriptions from this conversation, as well as some of the poems discussed and photos from the national folklore collection of ireland.
lucy has been exceptionally generous with all the work they’ve done around this project and has allowed us to share the original recording of the conversation with you here. listen to it on a walk, doing the dishes, driving or whenever your day needs a little more poetry. we hope you enjoy it - and if you haven’t got your hands on a copy yet or want to read more about the project, head to bogbodiespress.com.
sending you warmth during this very cold january - bisou, as always,
your bog bodies, lilou and réi
