how we put issue 005 together
a deep-dive into the magazine’s layout and why we care so much about it
every issue of mnemotope magazine brings around 100 new pieces for us to fit inside the 72 pages we have, and working out how best to do that is one of the most challenging, brilliantly fun parts of what we do. the two of us work from one laptop, pulling pieces that somehow speak to one another and sitting them side by side, moving and reshaping and rearranging them, printing test layouts, scribbling notes over them, and trying again.
